White columns topped with white and green floral arrangements at Gateley Hill Gardens

Designing your wedding
at Gateley Hill

When you are planning your day, the words on a package list do not always tell you what things actually look like. A "¼ arbor swag" and a "full installation" are very different in person, and a "petite" centerpiece is a world apart from "beyond." This page is here to show you, so you can choose with your eyes, not just a price sheet.

Ways to say I do

Every ceremony at Gateley Hill is built around a backdrop. Here are the ones we design most, from the simplest to the most dramatic. Each is designed in-house, in your colors.

The Wooden Cross

Our handmade wooden cross, dressed with a floral swag. The smaller packages include a quarter swag (about 3 feet); you can size it up to a half or full cross of flowers. Simple, classic, and right at home in the chapel.

The Gold Arch

A modern gold arch, set inside the chapel, with a floral swag from a quarter swag up to a full installation. It is freestanding, so it moves with you from the ceremony to frame your sweetheart table at the reception.

The Columns

White pedestal columns, each crowned with a lush floral arrangement, flanking you as you say your vows. Choose one pair (two columns) or two pairs (four) to frame the aisle. Clean, elegant, and a little editorial, a beautiful alternative to an arch or cross.

The Broken Arch

Our most dramatic freestanding installation: enormous, asymmetric, and unforgettable. Because it is freestanding, it can move with you, framing your vows and then your sweetheart table at the reception, as it did for Quentin & Emma. The signature piece of The Gateley.

Floral arrangement sizes

The biggest question we get is "what size are the centerpieces?" Here is how we think about it. Every guest table gets an arrangement, and you choose the scale. These are the four sizes, smallest to largest.

Petite
from $50 / table
A small, pretty cluster. Lovely with candles and greenery around it.
Classic
from $100 / table
Our most-chosen size. Full enough to anchor a table on its own.
Elevated
from $150 / table
Lush and generous, with more variety and height.
Beyond
from $270 / table
A statement in itself. Raised or sprawling, our most dramatic tablescape.

Your head table or sweetheart table is sized the same way, from a medium arrangement up to our most elaborate, showstopping design. And your cake florals can be anything from a simple vase beside the cake to a full cascade on the cake itself.
